Overview
The DreamHost Talent Specialist is responsible for driving special projects that involve talent development, hiring and recruitment, performance management, and training. In addition to these responsibilities, you can expect to perform duties such as expense reporting, and coordination of meetings. Additionally, the Talent Specialist deals with a diverse group of internal contacts at all levels of the organization and will demonstrate excellent project management. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload, and recommend organizational changes in office practices or procedures. In this role, you will have high attention to detail, be expected to assemble highly confidential and sensitive information, and be detail-oriented. The Talent Specialist will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of People.
Responsibilities
Talent Development:
Assist in creating communications materials for organizational talent development initiatives
Assist with managing all tasks and processes related to Growth Path Program
Act as central point of contact for all staff inquiries related to professional development
Document, file and save accurate and detailed information related to employees development
Assisting managers with retention of current team members
Aiding with Competency Project to help promote retention and growth
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
Perform full-cycle recruiting for new positions in departments cross-company
Use technical knowledge and vocabulary to have meaningful conversations with potential job candidates
Maintain applicant tracking system
Communicate hiring updates and processes effectively with VP of HR, Hiring Manager, and Department Manager
Collaborate with different teams/departments on tasks related to hiring
Source for and engage with potential qualified candidates via LinkedIn for open roles at DreamHost.
Employee/Company-Wide Training:
Assist with managing monthly Manager Training processes and procedures
Distribute and implement company-wide training; manage logistics of training workshops and programs
Track training status progress and obtain reports
Performance Management:
Enhance performance management via data-driven analytics
Act as central point of contact for all employee inquiries related to performance management coordination
Aid in the implementation of People Team internal systems
Purchasing & Invoicing:
Review, verify and process hours worked monthly invoices for all contractors as well as any other contractor related invoices
Purchase equipment for all Philippines team members and work closely with outside vendors to secure equipment and invoices for processing
Implement and perform various HR tasks and projects as assigned
Work independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects
Attend to employee questions, concerns and needs in a professional manner
Establish, develop, maintain and update filing systems. Retrieve information from files when needed
Ensure the utmost level of confidentiality
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verification
Maintain internal Job Titles document and ensure accuracy in HRIS
Type and design general correspondences and memos
Proofread copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes
Responsible for participating in the accuracy and clarity of final copy
Document corporate credit card expenses to corporate finance
Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Attend to problem escalation and cultural sensitive discussions
Job requirements
Associate’s degree
1-2 years’ of experience in Talent Development and/or related area of Human Resources
Ability to demonstrate time management skills
Ability to organize and prioritize large volumes of information
Strong project management, operational and process skills
Comfortable embracing existing technologies used in the Talent Development function; being willing to learn new technologies when necessary
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong collaboration skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities while delivering high results; strong execution and organization skills
Working knowledge/experience with/of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite applications such as, Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and bend or stand as necessary. Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects such as office equipment
Salary range: $30/hrly -$35/hrly
